Our European Journey Begins!

Our European journey begins! We are on our way to conquer the old continent– one « learning human » at a time. During three intense weeks, the E-180 team will visit 3 cities, and take part in 4 major events: We’ll turn two exciting conferences into peer-learning hubs in Berlin; we’ll host a workshop and participate in a panel in Barcelona; and attend the ETA Awards in London as nominees. Pretty exciting– and intense– weeks ahead!

First stop, Berlin.

From Nov. 4 to Nov. 7, we’ll be at The Global Social Business Summit 2015, organized by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus and The Grameen Creative Lab. Our mission: ensure a unique networking experience for all GSBS 2015 participants.

GSBS is known as the worldwide leading forum for organizations with a social goal. It serves to spread awareness about social business, foster discussion and collaboration between practitioners and stakeholders, as well as present and conceive best practices.

As a social enterprise ourselves– and fierce believers in the power of the collaborative economy–  we are more than honoured to be powering the connection of all these game-changers attending GSBS 2015.

Sunday, no time to rest: Falling Walls kicks off!

Falling Walls The International Conference on Future Breakthroughs in Science and Society– will take place in Berlin Nov. 8-9. And E-180 will be providing the technology and expertise to turn this event into a peer-learning hub.

For 2 days, this inventive conference will foster discussions on research and innovation and will promote the latest scientific findings among a broad audience from all parts of society. One fascinating thing to know is the fact that the fall of the Berlin Wall inspired this event, and thus the main question that brings these fellow participants together remains which walls will fall next?

E-180 is extremely proud to be the official connector of such a vanguard conference.

Next stop, London!

The team will head to the UK to attend (bells and whistles) the Event Technology Awards Ceremony. We’ve been shortlisted for Best Technology Partnership, for our collaboration with C2-Montreal, and the Best Audience Engagement category. As a reminder, last May E-180  helped foster over 1,400 Brain Dates at this world renowned Montreal conference, where we also launched our brand-new Braindater app .

Last stop, Barcelona!

From Nov. 17 to nov 19, we’ll be off to Barcelona, attending IBTM World. This 3-day event is the leading global event for the meetings and events industry. It delivers a focused business environment, thought provoking professional education and networking.

We’re thrilled to participate as both speakers and panelists. Our own Christine Renaud, E-180’s co-founder and CEO, will give a talk titled « Brain Dating: The Next Frontier For Events ».  Based on the case study of a partnership between C2 Montréal & E-180, she will share our best practices to boost the peer-learning component of any event. Following the presentation, attendees will be invited to test this unique approach by using the mobile app Braindater to meet the great minds surrounding them for spontaneous brain dates.

Christine will also participate in the panel « Connections Mean Everything: The Communications Internet », along with other event technology experts. How can we use technology and the internet to foster our network and share ideas?

Interested in knowing what these thought leaders have to say about this topic? Join the conversation on social media and if you are around Barcelona make sure you attend.
