We are actively looking for an adventurous Sales Director – Events and Meetings. Start date: as soon as possible.

Our business development has been based on word of mouth only, and we are ready to scale our offering of meaningful-conversations-generators-for-events to the next level. We want to work with a sales veteran with international experience, who believes a sale is simply a mutually beneficial relationship between two organisations. We are looking for an entrepreneurial soul, who will be willing to help us set up a salesforce and structure to increase the number of partnerships we develop, without compromising on the quality of the relationships we create. We are looking for someone with an impressive sales track record in the event industry, as well as an inspiring leader.
What your job will be
You will be the first sales executive E-180 has recruited. You will set up the salesforce and inform the marketing strategy we will put in place. You will be part of the recruitment efforts and will be the primary contact of our prospective clients. You will need to familiarise yourself with E-180’s unique take on networking (aka, never use the expression B2B again, and include in your vocabulary words such as “meaningful”, “relationships” and “community”.)
What is required to get the job done
- Previous experience in building a sales team from the ground up
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in the event industry, on an international level
- Sales experience with SaaS applications
- Experience with a CRM system (Pipedrive, Salesforce or other)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- An entrepreneurial spirit
- An interest for creating a world where everyone learns from each other
- Strong listening skills
- Great interest for collaborative consumption
- Track record of over-achieving quota (top 10-20% of company) in past sales positions
