Last minute laundry and accounting, swag pick-up & a three-hour night: 6h15, Pierre-Eliott Trudeau Airport. After a breezy and smooth prep day, a first challenge: the Mean border officer.
Me: “(Let’s make this be quick.) Good morning!”
Her: “Where are you going.”
Me: “(Suck it.) To Austin, Texas.”
Her: “What for.”
Me: “(What about their “Commitment to respect and courtesy?”) I’m attending a conference called South by Southwest”.
Her: “What do you do for a living.”

Last year, more than 20,000 participants flew from all over the world, in hope to get a piece of the huge visibility that can bring you thousands of people suddenly all twitting and talking about the next big thing.
